Is it necessary to know Russian well if I want to marry a Russian woman?
There is little sense in learning Russian very deeply, unless you are going to use it professionally in future. Just knowing a number of words and the simplest grammar would be enough at the romantic stage of your relationship.
If you are visiting the woman of your dream in her home country, you will certainly need Russian in particular situations – in a taxi, in a hotel, in a restaurant or just casually, in offices or streets. What should I do for a start?
Start with finding a good school and teacher of Russian. It may be a school in your town or, what's even more convenient – an online school of Russian language. Then you can take classes through a virtual classroom right from the convenience of your home computer. Explain them the reason of your study. Tell them how much time you have before you will pay your visit to Russia. If they are real professionals, they will respond with an individual learning program for you, and lead you to success in your studies.
