Counseling For Couples

Over the latest few years, I have received hundreds of letters from men seeking marriage with Ukrainian (Russian) women via Internet and via marriage/dating services. All of them requested my professional assistance of an independent counselor, regarding personal and cultural issues affecting their relationships. Cultural differences can cause additional complications for couples, especially when the two people have to be separated geographically (while going through the visa process) for months. These peculiarities of international dating and marriage determine my approach to working with couples and individuals.

Before the first counseling meeting, a couple (individual), provides me a verbal or written description of their situation. Quite often, they email me a list of questions they want to ask, as well. I study the information and meet them in the chatroom at the previously set time.

During the meeting, I often take two roles at a time – of an interpreter for the couple, and the counselor. As an alternative to the online chatroom meeting, a 3-way conversation by phone is possible.

The benefits of on-line chatroom-based counseling are evident to those who have been through the process of pursuing marriage with Russian ladies distantly. Being able to obtain professional advice of an independent expert in relationships, provides the missing element to the process of distant dating. The two people have their questions answered and misunderstandings resolved, along with building approaches to stable, long-lasting and happy relationship.
